Eastern Partnerships: Ostpartnerschaften
Applications deadline is 27 February 2026.
Please note: Only state and state-recognised German higher education institutions that are partners of Ukrainian HEI are eligible to apply.
What is funded?
- Mobility of students travelling to partner higher education institutions in the target region, as well as those coming to German higher education institutions for study, research and teaching (including internships) within the framework of existing partnerships between German and Ukrainian higher education institutions
- Participation in bilateral and international events (e.g. conferences, summer courses or symposia) of partner universities
- Trips aiming to establish new partnerships, as well as the development and implementation of digital events that complement physical exchanges.
Who is eligible for funding?
Students (bachelor’s, master’s), postgraduates, doctoral students, experienced researchers, university lecturers, university managers.
Application process
The international offices or other central departments at the university coordinate activities across departments and submit a single application for all of the university’s partnerships.
