DAAD Eastern Partnerships Programme: Partners for Ukraine

The DAAD Eastern Partnerships Programme was launched in 1974.

In the mid-1970s, when German universities had practically no contact with universities in the former so-called Eastern Bloc countries, the DAAD Eastern Partnerships programme created the first opportunities for exchange. In the meantime, it is also used intensively to support Ukrainian students in their difficult situation as a result of the Russian war of aggression and to facilitate secure study and research stays in Germany.
